The student workshops were started to bring input and ideas from actual students into the Space Campus development and community building. In the second meeting last month we talked about space internships and how to find them, the new Summer School and our brand new Brand Story.
The workgroup NL Space Campus emerged from the two student workshops we held in April and May in which more than 20 students participated. This group indicated to think about the idea of an NL Space Campus Student Society. The workgroup currently consists of 6 students from different backgrounds and universities, all with an ambitious interest in Space.
On the 2nd of July they have their first live brainstorm in Noordwijk to create focus in all those ambitions and the following topics will be discussed:
create a clear vision on the NL Space Campus Student Society
how to put focus on networking and not compete with other student boards
make the Space Campus our place to meet and organise networking events
getting some ideas on the events we would like to host
how to start with our activities during the introduction week of the universities
Are you a student, interested in Space and want to spend some spare time growing your experience and network in the field of Space? Let us know what you would like to do and why you are interested, by sending an e-mail to Maaike Smelter, our Community Manager: email@example.com
